Mabby Amouie Featured at Next-Gen Freight Rail 2024

Norfolk Southern (NS) Associate Vice President Enterprise Data & Analytics Mabby Amouie is among the featured speakers at Railway Age’s Next-Gen Freight Rail 2024 Conference. Amouie will discuss the NS/Georgia Tech Research Institution’s Digital Train Inspection Portal.

Amouie will take to the stage March 12, 2024, at the Union League Club of Chicago, along with other industry leaders like Union Pacific (UP) CEO Jim VenaUP President Beth WhitedCN President and CEO and Railway Age’s 2024 Railroader of the Year Tracy Robinson; CN Vice President of Engineering Brent Laing; and Genesee & Wyoming CEO Michael Miller. They will engage in informal “fireside chat” style conversations with Railway Age and Railway Track & Structures editors.

This year’s conference will include a special luncheon honoring Railway Age’s 2024 “Fast Trackers” 25 Under 40 award winners. Established in 2016, this annual award is presented to railroaders under the age of 40 in the United States, Canada and/or Mexico for making an impact in their respective fields or within their company.

Meet Mabby Amouie

Appointed Associate Vice President Enterprise Data & Analytics in 2023, Amouie oversees Architecture, Data, Operations Research, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at NS. He formulates and solves impactful business problems using Data and AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Amouie advises and implements large-scale innovative technology solutions to drive business transformation. He has played a key role in advancing the company’s Digital Strategy and has delivered large-scale technology solutions. 

Amouie joined NS in 2014 as a Lead Data Scientist. He previously served as Director and then Senior Director, Analytics & Chief Data Scientist. Amouie earned a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
