The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced Dec. 19 that $2.5 billion through 19 procurements will be invested to “combat climate change, expand accessibility and improve service,” following MTA Board approval.

New York MTA acting CEO and Board Chair Janno Lieber on Jan. 20 was confirmed by the state Senate to serve in those roles; also confirmed, Elizabeth Velez as an MTA Board member.

Ferrara will serve as interim president until Bianco’s permanent replacement is named.
