NJT ALP45-DP Honors 9/11 First Responders

New Jersey Transit is saluting first responders on the 22nd anniversary of of Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. The agency has outfitted ALP45-DP 4533 with a commemorative logo paying tribute to police, fire and EMS workers who responded on that day to the attack that brought down the Twin Towers and killed more than 3,000, as well as to the NJT employees “who were instrumental in helping commuters evacuate New York as the horrific events of that day were unfolding,” NJT said.
The locomotive will honor first responders as it travels throughout the state. NJT President and CEO Kevin Corbett was on hand with members of the New Jersey Transit Police Department at its unveiling at Newark Penn Station:
