Janet Hoang, a Sustainability Coordinator with Canadian Pacific, has rejoined the League of Railway Women (LRW) Board of Directors as Parliamentarian, for the 2022-2023 term.

Hoang assumes the Parliamentarian role from Madeline Stern, who has taken a new opportunity outside of the rail industry. “We are so grateful for Madeline’s dedicated contributions to LRW for so many years and wish her remarkable success in her new endeavors,” said LRW Secretary Erica Sander.

“We are proud to welcome Janet back to the LRW Board of Directors,” said LRW President Amanda Trainor Patrick. “Janet was previously LRW Events Chair and directed the successful delivery of our 2019 annual conference, which was held during Railway Interchange. Her dedication, creativity and passion for the rail industry is admired by all who know her.”

Since joining CP in 2015, Hoang has worked in various departments, including finance and risk management and is currently a top collaborator on the corporate sustainability team. Raised in Edmonton, Alberta, she studied business and has completed and continues to maintain her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Hoang enjoys CrossFit and spending time with her daughter and twin boys.

LRW Board of Directors elections will take place in 2022, excluding any recently appointed deputy chair positions. Members interested in joining the Board are encouraged to contact [email protected].
