The new on-dock terminal rail option leverages live lift capabilities and other expanded capacity and technology advancements at BNSF’s Alliance, Tex. Intermodal Facility to serve the greater Dallas/Fort Worth and Denver markets. Service will begin to be offered to/from the Barbours Cut Container Terminal to Alliance, as well as from Barbours Cut to BNSF’s Denver Intermodal Facility, beginning June 2, 2023.

“This new service offering supports greater supply chain efficiency and is made possible due to BNSF’s continued focus on providing access to key markets and enhanced service capabilities for our customers,” BNSF noted. “Based on vessel arrival, these new intermodal service schedule updates have the potential to increase in frequency to meet growing intermodal demand at the Port of Houston.”
