ProTran deploys flood warning system

Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefProtran Technology, which recently provided its real-time Trespass Warning and Track Monitoring System to the Los Angeles County MTA and Maryland MTA, has developed a Flood Warning System that alerts designated personnel to the location of a flood via text or e-mail through an emergency notification system.
The Flood System, which will be deployed on Maryland MTA, will be used to help prioritize the directing of emergency personnel when a flood occurs. “Having a flood warning system with emergency and real time notification to the train will promote passenger safety and prevent accidents,” MTA said.
