Protran Technology, a division of Harsco Rail, has appointed Clay A. Bunting as Deputy Director, Field Engineering and Training to develop the company’s growing range of safety technology for track workers and track inspection technology.
Worldwide rail infrastructure and maintenance firm Harsco Rail, a division of Harsco Corp., will move all its technology products and services under the Protran Technology brand, including Zeta Tech, the company announced on July 22, 2015.
Protran Technology, a Harsco Rail company, has received an order for railway safety technology from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), operator of the sixth largest rail transit system by ridership in the U.S., the company announced on May 26, 2015.
Harsco Corp. announced Monday, March 2, 2015 that it has acquired Newton, N.J.-based Protran Technology, providing design and production of safety systems for transportation and industrial applications. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Protran Technology said Monday, April 28, 2014, it has landed a contract from Ansaldo STS “to provide the Protracker Roadway Worker Protection System (PWPS) on over 500 railcars.” The amount of the contract was not disclosed.
Harsco Rail, a division of Harsco Corp., said Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 it signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Protran Technology.
