Wabtec: ‘Momentum’ Building for 2022

“The breadth of our product portfolio combined with our multi-year backlog provides us with a solid foundation for growth in 2022,” Wabtec Corp. President and CEO Rafael Santana said during a fourth-quarter and full-year 2021 earnings announcement on Feb. 16; he noted that the company’s FLXdrive battery-electric locomotive is “gaining traction.”

Wabtec: Roll Like an Egyptian

Wabtec on Nov. 8 signed contracts with Egyptian National Railways (ENR) to supply 100 ES30ACi Evolution Series Locomotives with a multi-year service and maintenance agreement. The deal, Wabtec said, “support ENR’s continued modernization effort by providing the latest, fuel-efficient locomotives needed for the growing demands on Egypt’s rail infrastructure.
