WSP USA: Guess to manage West region construction services

Charlie Guess has been named construction services manager for the West region of engineering and professional services organization WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Guess, who will be based in the firm’s Orange, Calif. office, and will oversee the delivery of construction management and engineering and inspection services in Washington, Oregon, Nevada and California.

The firm said Guess has more than 30 years of engineering, construction, and design-build management experience in the infrastructure and transportation industry, including directing the programming and construction of roadways, light rail and high-speed rail projects; rail connections to ports; municipal treatment facilities; commercial building projects, and industrial process facilities.

Prior to joining WSP, Guess was a regional transportation manager responsible for pursuing and delivering transportation and infrastructure projects with Arcadis of Irvine, Calif. He has also served as a program manager with the Orange County Transportation Authority, responsible for delivery of transit, highway, and grade separation projects.

A licensed professional engineer in California, Arizona, and Nevada, Guess received a master of business administration degree from Arizona State University and a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Construction Management Association of America and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
