The Railway Supply Institute (RSI) has appointed Sheena Prevette Director of Regulatory and Industry Affairs. Also, Tim Hort is the new Director of Labor Relations for Transdev, a rail and streetcar, bus, paratransit, and microtransit operator.

As RSI’s Director of Regulatory and Industry Affairs, Sheena Prevette will help develop technical and regulatory strategies related to quality, safety and operational issues of concern to association members. In addition, she will manage the work of RSI’s American Railway Car Institute, Equipment Leasing, and Quality Assurance committees.

Prevette will continue as Director of Scheduling Optimization at Union Tank Car Company. Her experience there includes leading process design, managing technical and quality assurance program reviews, and overseeing regulatory certifications for facilities throughout North America. Previously, she supported the Association of American Railroads’ regulatory committee responsible for maintaining quality program systems, including regulatory specification management, facility auditing and auditor certifications.

“I am thrilled to welcome Sheena to the RSI,” RSI President Patty Long said. “Sheena’s technical knowledge as well as her experiences leading international innovation projects and developing collaborative partnerships will be a huge asset to the organization and the members we serve.”
