In memoriam: Robert (Bob) Scesny, 64
Written by William C. Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefRobert (Bob) Scesny, account manager for Invensys Rail Corp. and 30-plus year member of the railroad supply industry, died, unexpectedly, on Aug. 7, 2011, at age 64.
Scesny joined Invensys Rail, then Safetran Systems Corp., in 1997. His current assignment was account manager for Kansas City Southern and all short line railroads and transit companies in the western United States.
Scesny was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was buried with military honors at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y. Bob is survived by his wife Kathie and his two daughters.
