EMD ends distribution relationship
Written by William C. Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefElectro-Motive Diesel, Inc. (EMD) said Wednesday it and Rail Systems, Inc. have reached an agreement to dissolve their distributor relationship for rail parts. Rail Systems has served as an EMD distributor since 1993.
In a statement, EMD said it “is extremely grateful for the years of dedicated and professional service” Rail Systems provided.
EMD’s business relationships with other Kirby Engine Systems’ companies (ESI and MSI) supplying the power generation, marine, and industrial markets will remain unchanged, EMD said. Current Rail Systems customers will have the ability to deal directly with EMD, and can contact either a Progress Rail Services sales manager or an EMD sales manager, or visit EMD’s website, www.emdiesels.com, for more information.
