Written by Railway Age Staff

The League of Railway Industry Women is seeking nominations for four Board of Directors positions.

The posts are Scholarship Chair, Membership Chair, Awards Chair and Director. The terms of these three-year positions will begin in fall 2017.

“We are very excited to once again open these opportunities to women within the railroad industry,” said Jodi Heldt, LRIW President. “The LRIW was founded on the ideology that women in the railroading industry, no matter their professional level, have access to leadership positions where they can contribute to the industry, network, make a difference, and grow professionally. As the organization grows, we’re seeking dynamic, talented women to continue our success.”

The volunteer LRIW Board of Directors is comprised of 15 female industry professionals from across the United States and Canada, of which four govern the executive committee. Interested applicants can visit http://lriw.org/our-board/current-opportunties/ for more information.

The LRIW’s 2017 Annual Conference will be held Sept. 18-19, in conjunction with Railway Interchange 2017, in Indianapolis.
