ARCI: 1Q23 Freight Car Numbers Slowing

Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefNewly released data by the Railway Supply Institute (RSI) American Railway Car Institute Committee (ARCI) shows slight declines in railcar backlog, orders and deliveries in 2023’s first quarter, compared to fourth-quarter 2022. However, Deliveries rose 40% and the backlog rose 23%, compared to first-quarter 2022 data.
