OmniTRAX Sand Holdings LLC, an affiliate of OmniTRAX, Inc., is entering into a joint venture with Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based Arrows Up LLC, a provider of bulk storage and transportation services. Terms were not disclosed.

OmniTRAX is said it plans to commercialize the Arrows Up Jumbo Bin, which holds up to 25 tons of frac sand or ceramic material and “replaces significant storage and transportation infrastructure, creates trucking and rail efficiencies across the supply chain, and eliminates the need for dust suppression equipment,” the company said. “The Jumbo Bin also decreases product shrinkage by reducing the number of product transfers, and can be moved by standard transportation equipment enabling customers to control costs. Arrows Up bins can be used for a wide-range of commodities and are easily configured to address the needs of customers shipping a large range of granular commodities.”

“We see the Arrows Up bulk material storage and transport solutions as a natural extension of our logistics offerings,” said OmniTRAX CEO Kevin Shuba “There is significant market interest, and an aligned OmniTRAX commitment to rolling out this solution.”

OmniTRAX is “a natural partner to help us scale this business across new industries, geographies and commodities,” said Arrows Up Founder and CEO John Allegretti. “Our collaboration will lead to productivity, safety and cost improvements for our customers and new growth opportunities for both.”
