The Reading & Northern has named Michael Sharadin as Vice President Coal Sourcing. Sharadin, who will report to RBMN President Wayne Michel, returns to the railroad following three years as an Area Manager Amazon Transportation, where he managed the transportation department at two fulfillment centers in the Lehigh Valley.

Prior to Amazon, Sharadin spent more than 20 years at RBMN working in various departments. A large portion of his time was spent working within the coal department, “giving him a good perspective of the business,” the company said.

We are delighted to have Mike rejoin the Reading & Northern family,” commented Michel. “During his time away he rediscovered his love of railroadin,g and he returns recharged and ready to go to work with the anthracite producers. In Mike we have someone who intimately knows our railroad, the coal region and the coal fleet, and knows how we do business. Joining with Senior Vice President Coal Bill Clark and Vice President Industrial Development Jim Cerulli, who assists us with coal equipment and infrastructure issues, we now have a great team that is ably backed up by our excellent customer service staff.”

Sharadin graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Business Administration. He and his wife Jennifer reside in Kutztown.
