The American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) has selected MaxAccel, which supplies electronic recordkeeping applications, to become its newest Member Discount Program provider.

ASLRRA members have access to discounted pricing for products and services that are selected as Member Discount Program participants. Other participants include Loram Technologies for tie inspection services; Spark TS for drug and alcohol testing services; Würth for personal protective equipment; Colliers Energy & Design for grant writing services; ISB Global Services for background screening services; and HUB for employee health insurance.

MaxAccel offers a suite of web- and mobile-based software products, including AssetPro™ and SafeTrack™, which are used by more than 220 freight and passenger railroads and rail contractors, according to ASLRRA.

The association on March 19 reported that its members “can choose one application, or several to utilize MaxAccel as their single solution for electronic recordkeeping.” This includes all eight solutions on the AssetPro and SafeTrack platforms.

“Recordkeeping is a time-consuming process for short line railroads, and accuracy is absolutely critical for compliance,” ASLRRA President Chuck Baker said. MaxAccel’s “suite of software products is highly regarded in the rail industry, and customized to meet the needs of Class II and III railroads. Using MaxAccel’s electronic recordkeeping solutions and analysis capabilities will enable short lines to focus scarce resources on growing their business as part of a world-class freight rail network, delivering high quality, safe, rail service to their customers.”

“MaxAccel is proud to have served ASLRRA’s membership since our company’s inception in 2004, particularly as part of the Association’s Safety & Training Committee,” MaxAccel Managing Partner Peter Sutcliffe said. “We are pleased to extend our engagement to include participation in the Member Discount Program for Electronic Recordkeeping Software Services.”
