Lawton named CEO of Ansaldo STS USA
Written by William C. Vantuono, Editor-in-ChiefAnsaldo STS said Wednesday that as part of its ongoing re-organization, it had named Thomas P. Lawton president and CEO of Ansaldo STS USA, succeeding Dr. Alan E. Calegari.
Lawton (pictured at left) is a veteran member of the Ansaldo STS USA executive management team, having served as general counsel since 2001.
“This change comes as a result of an April 2011 new organization of Ansaldo STS, which focuss on streamlining efficiencies globally to better serve customers in an increasingly competitive global rail transportation market,” the company said in an announcement of Calegari’s departure. “Ansaldo STS thanks Dr. Calegari for his work on behalf of the company.”
