NRE acquires HK Engine Components, LLC
NRE Hagerstown, an affiliate of NRE, on April 15, 2016 announced that it has finalized the acquisition of the assets of HK Engine Components, LLC (HKEC), a Hagerstown, Md.-based manufacturer and remanufacturer of EMD-style 710, 645 and 567 engine power assemblies used in the railroad and marine markets. The acquisition of HKEC will enable NRE to significantly expand customer options for engine solutions for the global market.
