TEX Rail issues DMU RFPs

Fort Worth Transportation Authority ("The T") has issued a request for propoals, RFP 14-T008, for an unspecified number of diesel multiple-unit (DMU) trains to cover proposed TEX Rail regional passenger rail service, linking downtown Fort Worth, Tex., with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

The deadline for potential suppliers is September 3, 2014, though a spokeswoman for The T allows the deadline is “subject to change as with any RFP.”

The invitation comes as The T collects public comments on the rail proposal’s Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS), which will be accepted through June 20.
