Short line taps R.J. Corman Railpower

The purchase will be funded in part by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Targeted Air Shed Grant Program, R.J. Corman said.
The locomotive kit will be provided to SERA in modular subsystems to be assembled with Railpower supervision and SERA-provided labor and tooling. Kit delivery is expected in the fourth quarter.

Corman Railpower Vice President Dave Malay.
After completion, the company will offer extended warranty, technical support, remote diagnostics, and on-site training for the kit locomotive.
Woodland, Calif.-based Sierra Northern Railway operates overapproximately 105 miles of right-of-way, interfacing with both Union Pacificand BNSF in northern California.
