RailPros

RailPros on Jan. 9 announced that it has hired Tim Newhard as Vice President of Training and Media Services.

Newhard has almost two decades of experience in learning and development. His background has included progressively expanding roles in the development and implementation of training platforms, programs and enablement tools for both large and small companies.

Newhard will report to Chief Safety Officer Rick Bellew, and be based out of the company’s Jacksonville, Fla. location. The opportunity for Newhard comes as a result of the promotion of previous incumbent, Erika Bruhnke, who advanced to Chief Sales and Growth Officer in late 2023.

“Tim has a deep background in learning and development, and a track record of success in leading teams in the delivery of training programs,” said RailPros CEO Kendall Koff. “Our clients will benefit from Tim’s leadership of our training and media division and his commitment to service excellence.”

“I’m excited to join a team that is playing a key role in the future of the railroad industry,” said Newhard. “As safety standards, technology, methods, and the labor force evolve; RailPros is well positioned to help our clients thrive in an ever-changing environment. Through a client-obsessed approach, we will continue to raise the bar for our existing catalog while at the same time seeking out innovative formats, topics, and delivery mechanisms. We recognize our responsibility as an industry leader and will continuously push for excellence that moves our industry forward.”

Newhard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University.

Alstom

Alstom on Jan. 10 announced that Aymeric Sarrazin has been appointed as President of Digital & Integrated Systems, effective Feb. 1, replacing Jean-Francois Beaudoin, who has decided to pursue his career outside of the company.

Sarrazin will report to Alstom CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Henri Poupart-Lafarge, and will be part of the Alstom Leadership Committee. He will be based at Alstom’s headquarters in Saint-Ouen, France.

Sarrazin joins Alstom from Siemens, where he most recently held the position of CEO of Siemens Advanta, the group’s digital and sustainability transformation business. During his 12 years within the Siemens group, he held various regional and global leadership roles, based in China, the U.S. and Germany, where he developed both his strategic skills and execution capabilities. He also acquired extensive experience in digital technologies, their business applications and their transformational potential.

“I am delighted to be welcoming Aymeric to Alstom. His extensive experience in digital technologies, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, will bring Alstom a competitive advantage in responding to the rapidly evolving demand for digital solutions from our global customers,” said Henri Poupart-Lafarge. “I would also like to thank Jean-Francois for his outstanding contribution to Alstom over the past 16 years, and in particular shaping the Digital & Integrated Systems organization following the integration of Bombardier in 2021,” he added.
