Winona, Minn.-based Miller Ingenuity (formerly Miller Felpax), a supplier of gear case seals, locomotive truck parts kits, and heavy-duty wear parts, has acquired Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based Larry McGee Co., a supplier of onboard- and office-based communications interface panels and systems for the railroad and transit industry.

Miller Ingenuity brings additional engineering, operations, and sales resources to support the Larry McGee range of products and services,” said Miller Ingenuity President and CEO Steve Blue. “Larry McGee brings a complementary product line of onboard and wayside communications equipment. What we like about Larry McGee is that we share similar product development skills and operating culture. We both manufacture rugged and reliable components for difficult transportation environments. Both companies develop custom products to meet a particular customer need.”

RR Mergers & Acquisitions, a specialist in the sale of rail service and supply companies, served as an advisor to the Larry McGee Co.
