Infrastructure consulting firm AECOM has appointed Greg Quandt as Environment Regional Business Line Lead for Canada.

Quandt is based in AECOM’s Burnaby, British Columbia, office and responsible for developing and executing the regional growth strategy, managing key client accounts, overseeing top-line revenues, and ensuring quality and safety, according to the firm.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the environmental services industry, Quandt served most recently as Vice President, Environmental Services for Stantec in Vancouver. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, National Operations at Hemmara, which is now part of Ausenco. He has also held positions at AECOM legacy companies URS (Washington, D.C.) and Gartner Lee (Burnaby, B.C.).

Quandt supports numerous groups through community service, including Habitat for Humanity, Canucks for Kids, United Way, and YWCA, as well as environmental projects with the Musqueam, Haisla, Lower Nicola Indian Band, and Squamish Nations.

“We are thrilled to welcome Greg to our team; his wealth of experience will contribute significantly to our work in the environmental sector,” said Richard Barrett, Chief Executive for AECOM’s Canada region. “He is a growth-oriented leader passionate about our clients, safety, inclusion, and creating career opportunities for AECOM’s industry-leading professionals.”

“I am excited to step into this new role where I’ll be working with our staff to solve our clients’ most complex environmental challenges,” Quandt said. “I look forward to growing diverse teams of environmental specialists and delivering innovative solutions for our clients’ transformative environmental projects. I am particularly focused on tailoring our Sustainable Legacies strategy to align with the environmental, social and governance priorities in Canada; forging partnerships with local stakeholders; and championing sustainable practices that resonate with the Canadian context.”
