CANARAIL names Miguel Valero president

Montreal-based CANARAIL on Wednesday announced it had appointed Miguel Valero president, effective Aug. 8. Valero is based in the company’s headquarters.

The company, specializing in feasibility studies, consulting, and the design and implementation of projects in the rail sector, said the addition of Valero to its leadership team brings a renewed vision and an increasing operational momentum.

Prior to joining CANARAIL, Valero worked for various international companies in the road transport and industrial sectors.

"Leading a company such as CANARAIL represents an exciting challenge that I am very proud of,” said Valero in a statement. “With the increase of rail transportation projects, particularly urban ones, there will be more opportunities for CANARAIL to promote its professionals’ expertise, such as in railway electrification, and continue to grow both in Quebec and abroad.”
