AARS offers scholarship for railway management course

The American Association of Railroad Superintendents (AARS) has announced a call for applications for the Michigan State University Railway Management Certificate Course Scholarship sponsored by Progress Rail Services.

 

The course begins September 13, 2015 and is fully funded in the amount of $17,500 by Progress Rail Services. The scholarship is for the four-week course and includes all lodging, breakfasts, lunches, textbooks and other classroom and field trip costs. Transportation to and from the class meeting locations and most dinners are not included in the scholarship.

The deadline for application is July 25, 2015. The scholarship is available to all AARS members (or nonmembers with an application pending for membership) who have been employed by a railroad company for a minimum of three years and have the support of their current company throughout the course.
