Salco ramps up Engineering and Technical Consulting Services

Four experienced professionals have joined the Engineering and Technical Consulting Services Group of Salco Products, Inc., which designs and manufactures plastic and metal products used in tank cars, hopper cars and plant process equipment for the railroad, trucking, chemical manufacturing and distribution, agriculture, food, plastics and minerals industries.

Salco CompositeCarl Hybinette (top photo) joins Salco as Manager, Technical Engineering Services. With more than 40 years of experience in the rail industry, including an extensive history with Union Tank Car and Watco, he will provide clients expertise in welding, weld engineering, metallurgy, railcar corrosion, and plant engineering and workflow.

“We are extremely fortunate to gain an employee of Carl’s caliber,” commented Tom DeLafosse, Vice President, Engineering and Technical Services. “His industry knowledge in all things ‘rail,’ especially in tank car manufacturing and design, makes him the perfect addition to the Salco Team.”

Phil Gorginksy (second from top) joins Salco as a Performance Assurance Engineer. He brings more than 40 years of experience in the rail industry with North American Car and GE Capital, and will specialize in car inspection services and asset valuation. Gorginksy will also provide clients expertise in shop quality assurance and invoice auditing.

“We are extremely fortunate to have Phil join us,” said DeLafosse. “His hands-on car and shop knowledge will add great value for our customers.”

Roberto Sanchez (third from top) joins Salco’s Engineering and Technical Consulting Services Group with more than 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance in several fields, among them four years’ experience in the rail industry. With extensive experience in operations, inspections, regulations, auditing, training, NDT (non-destructive testing) and quality control, he will be providing clients his car inspecting expertise throughout North America.

“I am excited to have Roberto join the Salco team,” said DeLafosse. “He is an extremely hard worker and very responsive to our customer’s needs. Roberto is a wonderful example of where hard work will take you.”

Dennis Allbritten (bottom) joins the Engineering and Technical Consulting Services Group with more than 30 years of experience in the rail industry, among them Union Tank Car, AllTranstek and GE Capital. His responsibilities will include development of new business growth in Technical Consulting Services, along with “helping keep Salco the premier supplier of parts and services to our vast network of valued customers,” the company said.
