Chicago Freight Car Leasing promotes two

Chicago Freight Car Leasing Co. (CFCL), a premier lessor of railcars to industrial, agricultural, and food product shippers and railroads, has promoted two of its employees, the company announced July 31, 2015.

Larry Abraham has been promoted from Senior Portfolio Manager to Director, Fleet Operations. In this role, he will lead the day-to-day management and execution of fleet operation initiatives to support the financial goals of the company. Abraham has been with CFCL for 28 years.

John Cooney, Vice President, Fleet Operations noted, “Larry is well deserving of this promotion, he has great experience and knowledge of our industry and a passion for providing a high level of service to CFCL’s customers.”

Matthew Branch has been promoted from Senior Accountant to Fleet Portfolio and Marketing Manager. In this role, he will support portfolio and asset management as well as market segment initiatives to achieve the company’s business objectives.

Branch joined CFCL in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from Western Illinois University. He will be reporting to Vice President of Portfolio and Marketing Management Toby Kahn.
