Virginia DRPT ‘Creating Connections’

The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) is launching “Creating Connections: For the Long Haul,” a marketing campaign “aimed at showcasing the vital role of freight rail in Virginia’s transportation infrastructure” and “focused on raising awareness about the efficiencies, sustainability and economic advantages offered by freight rail transportation as well as the DRPT programs that support freight rail throughout the Commonwealth.”

The multimedia campaign will launch with a dedicated webpage and utilize video, digital ads and social media content to “share the benefits of businesses with rail connectivity, innovations driving efficiency, and the environmental benefits of choosing rail over traditional modes of transport.”

“Virginia’s freight rail system plays a critical role in our economy, supporting businesses, creating jobs and reducing road congestion,” said DRPT Director Jennifer DeBruhl. “By highlighting the benefits of our freight rail programs and the businesses utilizing rail, we hope to inspire companies to explore the opportunities and advantages that rail transportation can offer.”
