OmniTRAX, Inc., an affiliate of The Broe Group, will connect rail-served properties along its 222-mile Georgia & Florida Railway (GFRR) with customers interested in locating there through its Rail-Ready Sites program.

In collaboration with economic development organizations across nine counties in south Georgia and north Florida, OmniTRAX will market and develop eight initial sites, with parcels ranging from 36 to 458 acres. GFRR offers several interchanges with CSX and Norfolk Southern, and works with companies in the agriculture, energy/petroleum, manufacturing, construction aggregates, building products and scrap metal processing industries.

“We’re working closely with our economic development partners to attract new companies to the region that can capitalize on the assets found here,” Justin Strickland, Director, Economic Development at OmniTRAX, said in a statement. “We will continue those efforts by offering a wide variety of supporting logistics services to ensure the success of new and existing businesses.”

In related news, OmniTRAX extended the Rail-Ready Sites program to the West Virginia branch of the Winchester & Western Railroad in May.
