Swindall takes on the leadership role at INRDRailway Age’s 2012 and 2018 Regional Railroad of the Year—following service at CN, most recently as General Superintendent. A 25-year railroad veteran, he also spent nine years in executive positions at Genesee & Wyoming.

“Swindall’s experience in the entrepreneurial short line environment, as well as a Class I railroad operations leader, has prepared him to lead INRD as the company continues the service improvement and growth initiatives established during Mills’ successful tenure,” INRD said. “As President and CEO of INRD, Swindall will bring his strong background in operations with a relentless focus on safety, service, efficiency and employee development.”
