Marmon Rail has elevated Kate Suprenuk to President, Railcar Leasing North America, leading the leasing business of Union Tank Car Company (UTLX) and Procor Limited. Randy Pocrnick, President of Procor Leasing, will retain his current responsibilities and report to Suprenuk.

Marmon Rail’s North American railcar leasing business comprises the leasing business units of UTLX and Procor Limited, which together design, build and lease railroad tank cars and other specialized railcars. They own a fleet of approximately 120,000 railcars and serve customers in the chemical, petrochemical, energy and agricultural/food industries. UTLX manufactures tank cars in the United States, and UTLX and Procor perform railcar maintenance services at more than 100 locations across North America. UTLX and Procor are part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company.

Suprenuk has served the Marmon Rail for seven years, most recently as President of Leasing at UTLX. In that role, she not only led UTLX Leasing, but also oversaw the portfolio activities of Carrotanques Unidos, UTLX’s leasing affiliate in Mexico, and teamed with Procor Leasing, UTLX’s Canadian affiliate, to coordinate North American railcar leasing activities. Previously, Suprenuk was UTLX Vice President, Portfolio and Services Strategy.

Suprenuk has 30 years’ experience in business, finance and strategy, including nearly two decades in GE Capital’s Intermodal and Railcar Leasing divisions, where she was Chief Financial Officer.

Her promotion coincides with the announcement of the retirement of Bill Constantino, current Group President, Marmon Rail Leasing. As of Jan. 1, 2024, Constantino will assume the role of Senior Vice President of Advisory Services, with plans to retire later in the year.

“Kate has been an integral part of Marmon Rail during her seven years with the company,” said Mark Carrier, Executive Vice President, Marmon Rail & Crane Groups. “Her experience, enthusiasm and leadership make her the ideal candidate to assume this critical role.

“I am honored to lead this exceptional organization and look forward to working with our dedicated employees to continue to provide excellent railcar products and services across North America,” Suprenuk said.

Reflecting on Constantino’s 45-year career at the company, Carrier said: “The company’s success has been and continues to be possible through Bill’s unwavering dedication and leadership throughout the years. The breadth and depth of his industry knowledge, combined with his strategic guidance, will be missed and we wish Bill the best in his retirement.”
