ProTran lands Brazilian contract

ProTran Technology says it was awarded its first major contract from Brazil's Belo Horizonte Metro for the "Protracker / PTC" track worker protection overlay system for advance warning of approaching trains.

ProTran secured the contract June 1.

The sale is the latest international sale by Flanders, N.J.-based ProTran Technology. Last December the company, then known as ProTran1, landed a major Australian contract from Australia’s Imtram, Ltd., to supply several fail-safe bi-directional Portable Automatic Track Warning Systems which will be used by several Australian railways for work zone protection.
