MARS elects 2019 officials
Written by Andrew CorselliAt its Winter Meeting in January, the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) elected its 2019 slate of officers.
The 2019 team includes President Tom Surma, Ingredion, Westchester, Ill.; First Vice President Stefan Loeb, Watco Companies, Downers Grove, Ill.; and Second Vice President Carrie Evans, Iowa Interstate Railroad, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
In addition, BNSF’s D’Andrae Larry was elected to the MARS Executive Committee.
The officers were elected during the two-day Winter Meeting in Lombard, Ill., before a crowd of 850. MARS’s Summer Meeting will take place on July 15 – 16 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisc.
