Report: Rail Cybersecurity Regs on the Way

Cybersecurity improvements at “the most important” U.S. railroad, rail transit, airport and aircraft operators will be required later this year by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), according to a Reuters report.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have joined forces to deploy “a new advanced portable passenger screening technology that will help detect weapon and explosive device security threats on the county’s transit system.”

Duos Technologies lands Raytheon contract

Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has awarded a contract to Duos Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Information Systems Associates Inc. (ISA), to provide a railcar undercarriage screening system in accordance with a Task Order established by the Transportation Security Administration for conducting a series of pilot programs to improve intermodal security at a variety of transportation focal points within the United States and its territories.
