Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project Phase II contract awarded

Parsons is serving as the lead designer for the nearly $1.2 billion project, which will extend the Metrorail system from Wiehle Avenue, in Fairfax County, Va., another 11.4 miles northwest, through Washington Dulles International Airport, to a terminus in eastern Loudoun County. The project includes the design and construction of all rail line, stations, and systems for this section.

Corridor Metrorail Project – Phase II: Package A is the largest of three design-build packages that will complete Phase II. When complete, “it will offer convenient transportation to and from Washington Dulles International Airport and the surrounding area, as well as offer a cleaner transportation option that can improve air quality for the region,” said Parsons Group President Todd Wager. “Parsons is honored to have been chosen to participate in this significant project.
