Tiger Cool Express makes three new executive appointments

Tiger Cool Express LLC, a transporter of produce and frozen products in temperature-controlled intermodal containers, has promoted Bill Welker, and appointed Bob LeGrand and Brian Bowers to its expanding team of experts, the company announced Sept. 15, 2015.

Bill Welker has been promoted to senior vice president, sales. Prior to his promotion, he held the position of vice president, national accounts. As senior vice president, in addition to his new responsibilities, Welker will also participate in Tiger Cool’s Executive Management Committee. “The promotion and additional responsibilities represent Bill’s significant contributions to Tiger Cool Express and his value to the company,” said Tom Finkbiner, CEO. “We couldn’t possibly have anyone better representing the needs of the customers to the Company or the Tiger Cool Express services to the customers.”

Tiger Cool Express also announced the appointment of Bob LeGrand as vice president, operations for the company. LeGrand was formally associate vice president, operations for Werner Enterprises Intermodal Group. “Bob LeGrand has great experience in the intermodal business,” said Finkbiner. “He has already had a significant and positive impact on the quality of service that we offer, and we are pleased to welcome him to the Company.”

Tiger Cool Express further announced the appointment of Brian Bowers as chief commercial officer, filling a position most recently held by Finkbiner. Bowers recently retired as vice president of intermodal for Kansas City Southern Railroad (KCS) and has held executive positions at Schneider, Hub Group and North American Van Lines. “We are very fortunate to have someone with Brian’s experience at Tiger Cool Express,” said Finkbiner. “He has been a success at every position he has held in the industry and rounds out our team of managers as we add 500 containers to our fleet over the course of the next several months.”
