To all my colleagues involved in railcar mechanical activities,

Once again this year, the Mechanical Association Railcar Technical Services (MARTS) is holding its annual railcar technical conference in conjunction with Railway Interchange 2015. As usual, our major topics to be discussed center on timely issues surrounding railcar design construction and maintenance of the North American railcar.

MARTS is the premier non-profit organization in the rail industry dedicated to education of the railcar mechanical professional and our conference is planned and developed to expose those attending to timely topics presented by leaders in the rail industry who are directly involved in the development and operation of each topic presented.

This year, our spotlight will be on railcar asset health, equipment performance monitoring, tank car monitoring, research & technology advances and the latest in protective coating. (See our complete agenda on this link)

Registration for this conference is easy, reasonably priced and can be completed by following this link.

Also, don’t forget that admission to the MARTS conference is just $150.00 and is your admission to other exciting conferences covering topics relating to locomotive design and maintenance and air brakes.

In addition, Included in your MARTS admission is entry to the Railway Interchange 2015 exhibit hall and train yard where there will be over 600 companies exhibiting. Enjoy walking the show learning about the latest equipment upgrades and innovations. Truly, the best and brightest of the rail industry come to Railway Interchange and MARTS is grateful to be a part of it.

As I look back, the MARTS organization has a long and rich history relating to the education of railway maintenance personnel. Founded in 1901, it has witnessed and presented conference topics relating to the major innovations throughout the 20th and early 21st century and I feel this year will be one of our best.

I plan to be in Minneapolis on Sunday October 4, 2015 when the doors open to see it all – especially the MARTS Conference.

See you in Minneapolis,

Michael Reid
President
Mechanical Association Railcar Technical Services
