Coulam and Wise join Loram Friction Management

Loram Friction Management recently welcomed John Coulam and Bruce Wise to the team.

Coulam is joining Loram’s Friction Management division as Sales Engineer, Western Region. He brings 29 years of supplier-related experience in the railway-engineering field with Class I, short line, transit and contractor markets. Coulam’s background includes track knowledge, track-related equipment, focusing on customer needs/solutions and dedication to customer service. Prior to joining Loram, he was Western Region Sales Manager for NARSTCO and also served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing with Encore Rail Systems.

In addition, Wise is joining Loram’s Friction Management division as Director of Business Development. As part of Loram’s global growth initiative, Wise aims to drive the growth of Loram’s friction management business division both domestically and internationally. Wise also aims to utilize his experience and reputation in friction management products and services to integrate his leadership with Loram’s existing sales team in providing solutions for the rail industry.

Wise brings with him more than 30 years of engineering, sales, management and leadership experience. Wise has held recent positions of Director of Business Development at GREX, Director of Railroad Sales at Whitmore Rail, and Vice President and GM at Portec RMP Division where he led the development and go-to-market strategies for several industry-recognized products. Wise has served on the Railway Engineering Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) Board of Directors since 2009, serving as president for the 2017-2018 term, and is an active member of Committee 4 in the American Railway Engineering Maintenance Association (AREMA).
