Fort Worth, Tex.-based short line holding company Rio Grande Pacific Corp. has named Chris Stevens to lead its new Industrial Rail Services division.

Stevens will be Vice President, responsible for developing and managing ongoing industrial rail services, which include safety and switching; GCOR (General Code of Operating Rules) and hazmat training; CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) safety training; maintenance and track inspection training; safety plan development; operations and more. He has nearly 30 years of railroad operations experience, with more than half of that time spent in management roles specific to industrial operations, safety and switching services.

Stevens served most recently as Vice President Operations for R.J. Corman Railroad Switching Co. He has also worked for CSX and Rail America.

“We believe Chris’s rail operations and switching services experience are a great fit for our newest rail service division,” RGPC President Robert Bach said. “Chris is also recognized as an ethical leader in railway safety and training operations which are critical skill sets to meet the demands of industrial rail services and switching operations.”
