The Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC) recently released the 15th and latest brochure in its Follow That Freight series, titled, “Follow That…Hand Sanitizer.”

“Follow That…Hand Sanitizer” features the journey of one of hand sanitizer’s key ingredients from origin to destination with the goal of educating Congress and the public on how we rely upon the freight network to deliver everyday necessities.

Over the years, transportation agencies and institutes, including the Federal Highway Administration and the Transportation Research Board, as well as academic institutions have recognized the educational value that Follow That Freight offers and utilized CAGTC’s brochures to convey the role of freight infrastructure in keeping our supply chain moving.

“Since 2005, CAGTC has developed 15 brochures illustrating the step-by-step journey of consumer products moving from origin to destination,” said CAGTC Executive Director Elaine Nessle. “Each brochure tells a story and encourages the reader to think about the infrastructure required for a seamless journey resulting in the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of our everyday essentials. The supply chain is a silent workhorse, one that most people think of only when a failure occurs. We hope this brochure increases awareness of the built infrastructure required to deliver our necessities, as well as the logistics workforce that continues delivering our goods during this pandemic.”
