STB adds to rail/shipper advisory council
Written by Douglas John BowenFrom a flood of nominations, the Surface Transportation Board has selected seven new appointees to serve on the Railroad-Shipper Transportation Advisory Council. RSTAC, which consists of 15 senior officers from shippers and railroads, provides advice on regulatory, policy, and legislative matters.
The following were named to three-year terms at RSTAC. effective Jan.1, joining the eight RSTAC members currently serving:
Jerry Cope, vice president for marketing, Dakota Mill and Grain; Tom Giovinazzi, manager, Rail Services, Holcim (US), Inc.; Shelley Sahling-Zart, general counsel, Lincoln Electric System; George T. Duggan, vice president, Coal Marketing Group, BNSF Railway Co.; Eric Jakubowski, director-Network Strategy, Canadian National Railway Co.; Robin Burns, vice resident Supply Chain, Occidental Chemical Corp.; and John McCreavy, director, Business Development, SMS Rail Services, Inc.
