Big news from Ballast Tools at REMSA 2015

Written by Carolina Worrell, Senior Editor

"The parts of M.O.W equipment that you don't see are actually the most important parts on the machine," says Ballast Tools Inc. (BTI) Vice President Kip Williams.

It’s this exact idea that has grown BTI’s business for more than 30 years, creating wear-resistant, long-lasting tungsten carbide wear part solutions for maintenance-of-way equipment, Ballast Tools says. Now, with BTI ON BOARD, the company is offering everyone the advantage of equipping their machines, newly built or in service, with proven long lasting, durable wear parts.

Ballast Tool’s extensive line of Tungsten-Carbide wear parts have been shown to last up to five times longer than standard OEM parts, so manufacturers and contractors alike can equip their machines with OEM and replacement parts manufactured in the U.S.A. by the industry leader.

“BTI On Board is our philosophy to bring BTI wear parts to all equipment in the maintenance-of-way industry. When a customer asks why they should have BTI On Board their work equipment, the answer for us is really easy. We know they are looking for performance, long service life and high value,” Williams explains. “Being a premium brand, means more than just price to BTI, it means providing unquestionable quality and service to everyone in the MOW segment.”

“BTI ON BOARD brings the power of the Ballast Tools brand to all railroad MOW equipment manufacturers and contractors. Ultimately, this provides our customers with the best value and performance over the life cycle of their equipment,” the company says.

Along with wear parts from BTI, Ballast Tools Equipment (BTE) will be showcasing one of its BTE-420 High Rail Backhoes and attachments at the show this year. Visit them at indoor booth 4109 and outdoor booth 203, to get more information on BTI, BTE and BTI ON BOARD!
