Cooley named VP at Colo Railroad Builders

Colo Railroad Builders, a provider of railroad construction and maintenance services to industrial, Class I, and short line railroads, says it has appointed Cene Cooley vice president of Operations in Texas. 

Paul Treangen, CEO of L.A. Colo, LLC, said, “We are excited about the strong background and skills Cene brings to Colo Railroad Builders. His twenty-plus years of experience in railroad construction and operations will help us grow and continue our focus on safety, integrity, and excellence.”

Cooley most recently served as the chief engineer–Gulf Region for Watco Cos. He also has experience with Colo as Director of Operations and Safety, Balfour Beatty Rail Inc., Railworks, and Kyle Railways/States Rail Inc. Cooley assumed his new position Jan. 2.

Geneseo, Ill.-based Colo Railroad Builders a privately held by Iron Rail Group LLC, based in Nashville, Tenn.
