Effective Jan. 1, 2020, Jim Cerulli is joining Reading & Northern Railroad (RBMN) team as VP – Coal Marketing. He joins Bill Clark, Senior VP Coal Marketing, Mike Sharadin, AVP – Equipment, and the customer service staff who handle all RBMN’s business under VP Customer Service Susan Ludwig.
Class II Reading & Northern (RBMN) has promoted two long-time employees—Dustin Berndt and Daren Geschwindt—to Vice President Motive Power and Vice President Distribution Services, respectively.
Reading and Northern Railroad has appointed Susan Ludwig as Vice President Customer Service, oversee all RBMN Customer Service Managers and all business including Anthracite Coal, Forest Products and General Merchandise for more than 70 customers. Ludwig reports directly to RBMN President Wayne A. Michel.
IRIS USA, a manufacturer and distributor of injection-molded plastic products, is building a new manufacturing plant at the Humboldt Industrial Park, Hazleton, Pa., on the Reading & Northern Railroad (RBMN).
Reading & Northern Railroad has named William Clark as Senior Vice President Coal, where he will be responsible for managing the anthracite coal business, as well as the railroad’s freight car fleet of more than 1,200 cars. His appointment is effective March 1.
On August 12, 2016, Northumberland County (Pennsylvania) President Judge Charles Saylor ruled that one claim in Reading & Northern’s multi-claim lawsuit against the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority (JRA) could go forward. Other allegations were dismissed.
