For the 22nd consecutive year, Strato, Inc. has received TTX Company’s SECO (Supplier Evaluation Committee) Award. The 2017 SECO award placing Strato in the category of top companies earning the TTX Excellent Supplier designation.
Strato, Inc. recently hosted ten Rutgers University engineering students, all members of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), who spent an afternoon with Production Manager Dave Calico to learn more about manufacturing processes.

Long-time railway supply executive Alan C. Lullman has joined Strato, Inc. as Vice President of Sales. He brings a broad range of experience including executive sales and business development for the manufacture and distribution of railcars and railcar castings, the company said in announcing his appointment.

The appropriately named Atlas line of knuckles, couplers and yokes from Strato, Inc., showcased at Railway Interchange 2015 (Booth 3709, RSI), are produced with “an optimum manufacturing process that ensures consistent dimensions for proper fit and function, longer fatigue life and smoother surface finish to reduce the amount of stress risers and minimize crack initiation.”
The Association of American Railroads Coupling System and Truck Casting Committee has approved the new Strato Inc. E50BE Knuckle as meeting the AAR M-216 Knuckle Fatigue Test specification, which requires an average fatigue life of at least 600,000 cycles.
