Strato, Inc.’s Quality Management System has been certified to ISO 9001:2015, superseding the company’s previous ISO 9001:2008 certification, and one year earlier than required.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard focuses on risk-based thinking and is designed to solve potential issues long before they develop. The revision puts more emphasis on input and output of processes, evaluating results, and making adjustments as necessary to align quality with the overall business strategy. Strato calls meeting ISO 9001:2015 requirements “a milestone for the company,” and “demonstrates its commitment to perform to quality standards using the latest recommended practices.”

“Certification to the new ISO standard one year earlier than required ultimately helps us better satisfy and exceed the needs of our customers”, says Strato President and CEO Mike Foxx/

Piscataway, N.J.-based Strato is a supplier of products, custom product design and engineering services to the rail industry. Its products include airbrake hose and components, freight and passenger car parts, castings and fabrications, and engineering services.
