Detroit has awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff for design, review, and construction quality assurance services for the 3.2-mile M1 Rail Project along Woodward Avenue.
Detroit’s public-private partnership streetcar effort, M1, will issue a request for proposals (RFP) in October, and possibly even earlier, M1 officials say.
Alameda, Calif.-based construction company Stacy and Witbeck Inc. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, was awarded a contract to oversee implementation of Detroit’s M1 Rail streetcar line, winning out over four competitive bids. The amount of the contract has not yet been disclosed.
