The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) announced Jan. 12, 2016 the creation of the International Urban Rail Platform for North America, which will bring together key rail industry players from the region and the rest of the world.
UITP (International Association of Public Transport), which represents 1,400 member agencies in 96 countries, has opened a new office in New York City “to support the growth in urban transit projects across North America.”
APTA (American Public Transportation Association) has named HART (Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation) Executive Director and CEO Daniel A. Grabauskas as U.S./North America representative to the policy board of the UITP (International Association of Public Transport) for the 2015-2017 term.
