Former California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) Secretary David S. Kim has been named National Transportation Policy and Multimodal Strategy Principal for WSP USA.

For WSP, a New ‘Body’

WSP USA has named Christopher Body as Vice President and Senior Business Development Director Mobility Operations, with responsibility for development and pursuit of tolling, traffic management center, transit, rail and other programs in North America. He will collaborate with other WSP business sectors, as well as with regional and national leadership, “to position the firm as a preferred and trusted choice for transportation projects.”

Hedlund Joins STB

Democrat Karen J. Hedlund on Jan. 3 was sworn in as the newest member of the Surface Transportation Board (STB), succeeding Republican Ann D. Begeman.

MTA Metro-North Railroad has expanded its rider seat availability tracker to Google Maps. In addition, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority has scheduled pilot testing of autonomous vehicle (AV) shuttle routes in 2022 and 2023; and the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) has selected WSP USA’s Jannet Walker-Ford to serve on its Executive Committee.
